"History On A Plate" - The Good Practice Guide
"History On A Plate" is an intergenerational educational initiative by MedINA centered on preserving Messenian local culinary heritage and bridging the gap between younger and older generations through the shared history of food.
WoodGear designed the program's 25-page Good Practice Guide, developing a warm, accessible, and visually rich layout to document the project's methodology and traditional food narratives.

The visual language balances clear educational formatting with a lively, hand-crafted aesthetic. The cover introduces the manual with an energetic array of custom ink-style kitchen illustrations over a textured, welcoming yellow background. Inside, the editorial structure uses bold color-blocking and expressive compositions, to break up the text columns and create visual rhythm.
This combination of playful, detailed illustrations and distinct informational callout boxes, ensures the guide remains highly engaging and legible for readers of all ages.
