Transboundary River Forum 2025 - Ioannina & Konitsa
The Transboundary River Forum (TRF), organized by MedINA in Ioannina, Greece, brought together stakeholders to discuss the protection and institutional management of the shared Aoos/Vjosa river ecosystem. WoodGear provided full visual support for the conference, developing a comprehensive and unified identity system that covered all physical and digital touchpoints—including the forum's core logotype, posters, informational booklets, agenda guides, participant cards, outdoor banners, an animated logo sequence, and dedicated social media materials.
The design framework centers on clean, structured layouts paired with fluid organic elements that symbolize ecological continuity and cross-border environmental collaboration. The event's identity utilizes a bold, continuous blue line that winds through the typography, acting as a literal and metaphoric representation of a river path.
This fluid graphic line carries over into editorial applications, establishing a visual hierarchy alongside photography in the conference booklet. To ground the environmental themes for large-scale production, assets like the feather banner balance crisp vertical typography with geometric, framed line-art illustrations, resulting in a cohesive, professional aesthetic tailored for an international institutional framework.
