The Fish Fauna Of Aoos River - A Fish Guide
This printed field fish guide was created for the Mediterranean Institute for Nature and Anthropos [MedINA], as part of their ongoing efforts to raise awareness and protect the natural landscape of the Aoos River and its tributaries in northern Greece.
Aimed primarily at fishermen and nature enthusiasts, it features 12 endemic fish species, each accompanied by information on its characteristics, habitat, and the threats it faces. Developed with the guidance of ichthyologists working with MedINA, the guide ensures accuracy and relevance.
Designed for outdoor use, along the banks or even in the water.
We approached the design with a focus on clarity, usability, and visual integrity. The handmade illustrations blend scientific precision with expressive detail, using subtle brushy gradients and thoughtfully designed symbols to convey essential information. The result is a modern, functional guide that remains practical without sacrificing aesthetic value.
