Nicodemus - Honest Tattoo
Nicodemus is a tattoo artist, member of Honest Tattoo, a renowned Athens studio. We were commissioned to create a distinctive artwork that would serve as a strong signature for the artist.
The artwork centers on a vertically oriented tattoo machine, illustrated in a linear, technical style reminiscent of vintage manuals. Two minimal lines near the pin suggest the vibration of the machine in action. A vivid electric blue tone, adds energy and contrast. The striking red Japanese phrase translates loosely to "tattoo as you like it," enhancing the design’s character and giving it a personal, expressive layer.
The final piece channels a Japanese minimalist sensibility, with ample negative space and a clean, structured composition. It evokes both precision and craft, qualities central to the tattooist’s practice. The artwork was applied to business cards as well as merchandise items like T-shirts and hoodies.
