This short animated piece follows the journey of a single leaf, drifting from the mountains to the sea along the Aoos/Vjosa River. With a colorful visual style and Edvard Grieg's Peer Gynt melody serving as a soundtrack, the video offers a hopeful take on the flow of Europe’s last wild river.

Created in collaboration with MedINA [Meditteranean Institute For Nature And Anthropos], the animation reflects on movement, connection, and the quiet stories carried by water.

 

It was selected by the AnimaSyros Animation Festival in 2021.
